I had a lot of fun making these eyeball cake pops this year. They were very easy and I had all the ingredients in my cupboard. These eyeball cake pops look so gross I don’t know if I can even make myself eat one! I made them for a Halloween party, and I am sure the kids will think they are really disgusting! Continue reading

My favorite part of this Halloween Cake with Meringe Ghosts is of course the ghosts! I think they look so cute, and they were really easy to make! You just whip up some meringue with a few basic ingredients and bake them on a cookie sheet for a little over an hour. I wanted to make them green so I could make it look like the cake got slimed Continue reading

Spooky Eye Cake
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I just love making Halloween cakes and seeing all the Halloween treats everyone makes. I have seen some truly frightening cakes complete with dismembered body parts, blood and guts. I was tempted to try making my own gruesome cake, but my three year old son gets scared very easily! The closest I came to gruesome was this brain cake. So this spooky eye cake is just a little bit scary but safe enough for a three year old to help! Continue reading

Pumpkin Cheesecake Trifle
Its October and that means PUMPKINS! I love all kinds of pumpkin desserts, but this is one dessert I have never tried! Trifle is so delicious and what I love about it, is that there are so many variations and combinations you can put together.
Layers of pumpkin spice cake, Cheesecake filling, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce!
I have one son, so we are a little family of three. I love my trifle bowl and was tempted to make this pumpkin cheesecake trifle in it, but decided to make it in mason jars because there is no way my little family of three could eat that much trifle! These mason jar trifles are the perfect size for one serving!
Pumpkin Spice Bundt Cake
I just LOVE the smell of pumpkin cake baking in the oven!! I just wanted to sit there in the kitchen and enjoy the smell the whole time this cake was baking. I got to make two cakes for this recipe, so it was twice as long I got to appreciate that delicious smell. And actually, my house still smells like pumpkin cake even though it has been out of the oven for hours. I even invited my neighbor Nori inside and said “You’ve gotta come in and smell this pumpkin cake!!”
The only thing that beats the heavenly smell of this cake, is the taste! A perfect blend of pumpkin and spice, perfect for the first of October and welcoming in the Fall!
Now this cake is very special because it is shaped to look like a pumpkin and also has that delicious pumpkin spice flavor!
